I'm Rai Umais, a Sheikhupura-based developer, and Maktab didn't start as a product — it started as a series of long evenings spent listening to school owners describe the same headaches over and over. I built every screen in this system from those conversations, not from a generic ERP template, and I'm the one who picks up the phone when something needs fixing. No. Maktab runs in the browser at app.maktab.pk — any computer or phone with internet can use it. There is nothing to install, nothing to maintain, and updates roll out automatically.
Your data is yours. It's stored on secure servers, isolated per school, and you can export everything — students, fees, results — to Excel at any time. If you ever decide to stop using Maktab, you leave with all your data.
Yes. That's exactly why Maktab uses SMS for parent alerts — fee reminders, attendance, and results all reach parents on any basic phone. No app, no internet on their side, no problem.
Most schools are live within a week. I personally handle data import from your registers and Excel sheets, train your office staff in one short session, and stay available on WhatsApp through your first full month.
